11 River Seine
A Seine river cruise tours can be a beautiful. relaxing
experience with much to see and photograph. Many of the major Paris
attractions reside on the river's banks or close to it.
You can also 'hop on' a river taxi or bus.
Nearby attractions include Notre Dame, Jardin des Plantes, The
Louvre, Royal Palace, Champs Elysee, Eiffel Tower and Orsay Museum.
A must do if you have the time and the weather is with you.
12 Pont Alexandre III
Pont Alexandre III is a photographers delight. Pont Alexandre III
must one of the prettiest bridges in Paris.
The Pont Alexandre III bridge has starred in a few movies in its
time along with the four golden rearing horses that hover over the
bridge and great support from the 17 meter columns that keep it
from falling into the River Seine.
To be seen in daylight or moonlight (bring a friend for maximum
effect).
13 Les Invalides
Like your marble, your tombs big and less than huge
crowds then the gold capped Les Invalides could be for you.
Sometime you’ve just gotta get down to get up. The architecture
and sheer size of Les Invalides is both impressive by design and
overwhelming in grandeur.
Clearly, Napoleon was much bigger in real life than on TV –
given his huge Tomb.
The grounds and courtyard are both worth a look at and nibble in.
14 France Miniature (Little France)
Get an overview. See all of France extremely quickly. A CEO approach
to travel. At 1/30th the original size here’s a real chance
to ‘take-it-all-in’. Some might say less impressive,
perhaps not as solid or inspiring but they may have fallen into
the trap of being sizest. Small is beautiful. Petite is cute. Size
isn't everything.
Little France includes the Alps, Versailles and Roman aqueducts
and Mont St. Michel on an island (little of course).
Of the 116 miniature sites the Eiffel Tower stands out at about
25 ft high. Model trains, boats, miniature trees and landscaping
add to the small celebration of France.
Bring some little people with you if you have any.
15 Luxembourg Gardens
Luxembourg Gardens is a large, peaceful formal garden. Beautiful
flowers, fountains, ponds, great landscaping, play area for kids
and a palace. In the warmer months there are thousands of chairs
to allow you to sit wherever you like.
A wonderful place to go for a stroll, relax, read, think, be people
watched, smell the roses or tulips or whatever or just do nothing.
